Born and raised in Colony 9 by his grandmother after his father's death, Reyn grew up alongside Shulk and Fiora, with Dunban serving as an older mentor figure rather than a same-age friend. When the Mechon assaulted Colony 9, he fought alongside Shulk from the start as a member of the Colony 9 Defence Force, driven by a desire to protect what remained of his world. Throughout the journey across Bionis, he fought fiercely as a frontline defender, supporting Dunban and Shulk rather than taking on a commander role. Despite his outward confidence and occasional recklessness, Reyn harbored deep fears about losing those close to him, but he never succumbed to any infection or tragic fate.
